Switzerland is the country where all the four seasons gathered together. There are abundant of lush green hills, snow caped peaks, and gorgeous valley with waterfalls to soothe your eyes and heart. But that also give you a bit hard time to decide what to pack, as the weather of this country is quite unpredictable. The temperature varies a lot from place to place or I should say from one valley to another. There might be a bright sun shine in one valley and raining at the other side of the mountain. We were there in the summers of 2016, and let me tell you guys the climate was so pleasant. The summers here are not so cold as usually people think. Only later in the evening, it used to get cold and windy. So, dressing in layers is the key to keep in mind. And, if you are planing for hiking on mountains; you might need a down jacket or rain coat with trouser.
This post is one of my favorite from our whole trip. It was just the second day of our vacation and I already fell in love with this country. We stayed in Wengen which is one of the most beautiful car- free village of the Jungfraujoch region. That day, we decided to go for hiking and exploring more tiny villages, discovering stunning castles and beautiful chalets of Jungfraujoch region, while enjoying delicious food and Swiss chocolates. And for the day, I chose to wear black trouser and paired it with a vibrant bralet top along with down waterproof jacket. Yes, you can wear tubes, bralet, and vests in summers in Switzerland. The only thing you need to carry is a light jacket. Waterproof jacket will really be a good idea in case you are going to near the fall or there is a chance of occasional rain.
P.S. Instead of packing heavy clothes, I would recommend carrying wind and rain protect lightweight down jacket or fleece jacket in addition to sunblock, sunglasses and good shoes.
So, guys pack light and enjoy your trip..!! Also, if you are in Jungfraujoch region make sure to put Top of the Interlaken in your list.
Until next time,
Big warm Hug..!!
