We were super blessed to visit Greece for our babymoon this year in may. Since Greece has been on our bucket list for a long time; it was an easy choice for us when it came to choosing a getaway for our babymoon. Greece is one of those magical destination where you can’t go really wrong no matter which island you choose. We chose to visit Santorini and Mykonos island for us. But, now the big question was how to choose hotel for our stay?
Santorini is full of beautiful hotels and Villas. So, it was really getting hard for us to choose the best one. After so much our R&D, we finally opted for one of the most luxurious Astarte Suites which is located in Akrotri village on the volcanic rock of Santorini opposite to the endless Aegean blue. I have seen so many gorgeous picture of Astarte suites on Instagram and my expectations were really really high but this hotel most definitely surpassed all of my expectations.
On arrival to Santorini, our driver from hotel was waiting for us. It was barley 10 minutes drive and we were in the heaven. The volcano and whole island is visible from our hotel and it was a breathtaking view. After few step down as we were going toward the suites there was the most famous and beautiful infinity pool of the hotel and it was so picturesque and luxurious to spend the entire afternoon. Everything was so white, incredibly beautiful, unbelievable, and just like a fairy-tale. Seriously, I gotta pinch myself 😛 I am in paradise. 🙂
As soon as we entered in our suite, it was so extremely heaven here! King size bed, mini bar, Jacuzzi with Swarvoski crystals on ceiling, romantically decorated with scented candles and a private terrace with stunning Aegean and caldera view. Seriously what more anyone can ask for a romantic and relaxing vacations 🙂 Each room is different in Astarte suites and we stayed in Senior Suites with sea view and private hot tub. After settling down, we were welcomed by the chef with lovely welcome drinks (champagne for Priyank and juice for me) and a plate of fresh fruits.
The staff of Astarte suites were extremely helpful, friendly, and hospitable in making sure we had everything we needed. In the morning at our selected time, we were served with delicious breakfast on our private terrace. It was wonderfully romantic to have breakfast watching over the admiring postcard worthy views.
The best part of our stay was pool side dinner in Alali restaurant and it was absolutely paradise to dine watching the most gorgeous view in the world. Not only the view was breathtaking but also the meal was so good and creative. You must try the restaurant special Greek salad and club sandwich! We ended up having all our meal in Alali restaurant because of the outstanding service and incredible taste. So if you are not staying in Astatrte suites, I would highly recommend to book an evening for a pool side dinner in Alali restaurant. The meaning of Alali in Greek is speechless and the restaurant do full justice with its name.
Astarte suites is the perfect definition of romance and tranquility. If you are looking for the private and luxurious hotel to stay for Honeymoon/ Babymoon, you must consider this. It is also featured in the top twenty spectacular hotels to visit before you die. It is once in a lifetime experience!
Hope you enjoyed the pictures! Coming up next with more from Santorini.
